This afternoon we read the story 'Press Here'. The children were extremely engaged as made predictions about what the story may be about before we the read the story. We talked about the many different things that happened to the dots. We also added the dots. Check it all out below.
Last week, we looked at the picture below and wrote a story (fiction). The picture gave us the inspiration to use our creativity and imagination to write a story. We had a great time collaboratively creating a story. Great team work!
One of our butterflies have emerged!!!!! So beautiful to see the children so happy to see the real life butterfly life cycle at the tips of our hands. Life is BEAUTIFUL!
Last week, we collaboratively put together a classroom number line (#0 to 20). The children had fun finding the numbers that came next, before and after.
It was a great morning to be outside and enjoy the sun. We played games with the parachute and soccer balls. We skipped rope and painted under the trees. We also read some books. So great to learn and explore outside.
What a magical experience! We have been given this amazing opportunity to watch little tiny caterpillars eat and grow and now 2 out of 8 of our caterpillars have turned into chrysalis'. The children have watched with wonder and delight and have been so gentle when witnessing the life cycle of this God given creature.
One of our friends decided that she would independently add numbers today. Great work! So proud of her... she's a 'Math Magician'!
We used two different sized containers to investigate how many scoops we would need to fill a tall measuring cup. We made predictions to determine which container would require more or less scoops. Lots of learning and fun with water. Hands on investigations are the best for learning!
